Yesterday evening we took my grandma's old wash tubs out on our brick patio and washed the rest of our bushel of apples. Matthew loved using them and it brought back such great memories for me helping grandma wash clothes when I was little!!!
What a pain it was to do those apples. It was also really wonderful watching Matthew as he was playing. He had to be reminded a time or three not to bang the apples together. He has probably seen those wash tubs every day of his life and I am sure that he had no idea that they did anything but hold plants. He helped me carry them outside too. He was really proud of himself for being so strong.
I'm glad you guys had so much fun! It certainly made for FABULOUS photo ops! Now I am QUITE in the mood for apple pie, apple butter, and hot apple cider! :)
